Chiropractic Makes Sense:

Every day you either grow stronger or weaker. To grow stronger, you need a clear brain-body connection.

A clear brain-body connection requires a properly aligned and functioning spine. Spinal misalignments, or subluxation, can interfere with that connection and your ability to grow stronger.

Only specific, scientific chiropractic adjustments correct subluxations, leading to a stronger, healthier you. You may have spinal subluxations without obvious symptoms.

At your first visit to Johns Family Chiropractic, Dr. Robert Johns will explain the science behind how chiropractic care works, and give you a full evaluation to see if chiropractic care is right for you. If there is a good fit, we can develop a plan of chiropractic care that is specific to your condition and health goals.

If you are new to seeing a chiropractor and want to find out more, please call 205-502-7791 to receive personalized answers to your questions from our friendly team. We also welcome referrals, so feel free to use the "Send to a Friend" link located at the bottom of every page to share our health information with your friends and loved ones.

"Observational study found that low back pain patients receiving chiropractic care, which typically includes spinal manipulation, are more satisfied than those receiving medical care."

When my grandfather opened his chiropractic practice in Dawson, GA in the 1950's, one town ordinance directed business owners to be open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but to be closed on Tuesday and Thursday. When he opened opposite these hours, on Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday, the town council demanded that he explain himself for violating the ordinance."People can't come into my office when they're working, so I'm open when they are available to come in."That sounds like a smart idea.

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? Or is it, instead, a combination of all of these qualities, plus the natural goodness derived from the apple's secret ingredients — phytonutrients? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
